Margie Church & K.B. Cutter
Posted by R. Renee Vickers
Alrighty readers, I have a special treat for you today, Margie Church AND K.B. Cutter are joining me to discuss their upcoming release, RAZOR.
*fan girl squeal* I can’t believe they’re here!!!
Ahem…you might be able to tell that I’m a tad bit excited to have such phenomenally talented writers grace my pages. So before I pass out from hyperventilating, please join me in welcoming Margie and K.B.!
Thank you, Renee, for hosting Margie and I today. I’m sure one of us will reimburse you for the loss of readership today ‘cuz we’re polluting your digs.
Okay, it will be me, K.B. Cutter. Margie Church says she is world-renowned. I don’t know exactly what that means; I assume it infers she gets ‘around’ or doesn’t pick up the tab.
Not quite sure . . . .
Any-hoo, as I write out the check, we’d like to share with your readers what the globally-recognized Margie, and soon-to-be-a-household name, K. B. Cutter, are working on together.
RAZOR
The title in and of itself conjures up specific images: glinting metal, sharp blade pressed upon vulnerable skin. It also may allude to a certain genre—perhaps mystery or horror. Five letters, three consonants and two vowels, present the reader with an air of suspense, a promise of taut drama. Our collaborative efforts deliver the proffered tension with scorching-hot, sexual overtones. We hope our erotic story also will appeal to a reader’s kinky and intellectual desires.
But is a romance hidden in there, too?
The story evolved from of an idea of Margie’s, and we exchanged a series of emails that explored the psycho-emotional complexities of a Dominant/submissive relationship. While the genesis of RAZOR may sound straightforward, Margie and I agree the story’s emotional complexity is far from linear.
Surprisingly, love brings forth the honed instrument; however, its cutting edge does more than scrape against exposed flesh. Amy’s hopes are contained in the blade’s reflections. Ultimate trust is placed in the one who wields the tool. RAZOR explores the notion that relinquishing control in the bedroom is as sexually rewarding as taking charge. The story slices through romantic predictability and challenges typical definitions of true love.
Hi Renee, Whew, one never knows what Mr. Cutter will throw at me when I’m not looking! Bet you thought I’d let him drive the whole trip, huh? Pfft! Before we’re evicted, I want to add a few comments about writing this book together.
K.B. and I have dissimilar writing voices, and believe it or not, opposite genders. Yeah, shocked me to learn that too. What we both bring is an uncanny connection to this story. Writing together, at least for me, is somewhat like playing on an Olympic volleyball team. Similar to those players on the court, we complete each other’s scenes and ideas intuitively in the writing arena. It’s unnerving to me sometimes how similarly we think. We check our egos at the door when we take our turns at writing, and we edit each other. K.B. will admit that I do most of the driving, but we share equally in the navigation and effort. Take a journey with us in RAZOR.
Blurb: RAZOR by Margie Church and K.B. Cutter
Amy and Bryce don’t live the Dominant/submissive lifestyle, but Bryce acts every bit the Dom in the bedroom. And Amy’s had enough of it. She takes a drastic step to balance their intimate relationship by enlisting her best friend’s help.
His wife’s unconventional request shocks Bryce at first, but eventually he’s convinced to give the idea a try. On this journey of self-awareness, his experiences are anything but predictable or vanilla.
RAZOR is part of a BDSM anthology titled, Bound for Romance, and will be available from Sizzler Editions on February 1. Expect the full novel version this summer.

::Drum Roll ::
And the winner is… J.S. Wayne! *woooooohooooo*
Thank you to those who came by and participated. Thank yous to Margie and K.B. as well!!
Hi Fedora! Thanks for coming on by! Razor is a story that REQUIRES the reader to invest both emotionally and intellectually
Ah, yes. The measure of true love!
I’m intrigued–Razor sounds like not only an absorbing read, but one that might make me think
As for true love, it’s DH letting me sleep in while he gets up to herd the kids
*Nods to Kb* It’s at least our perspectives on a very complicated relationship. We get to take some interesting paths in this book. I hope we don’t end up head first in the thorn bushes.
I hope you two behaved yourselves. LOL, Seriously, congrats on the book. It is already on my to buy/read list. Let’s see…true love. That is a give and take, finishing each other’s thoughts, bright sunshine when you’re together, feeling a void when one is gone, and never needing to say anything because being together is more than you’ll ever need.
Thanks for the thumbs up, Cindy. Hope you like what you read. I like your definition except I think the bright sunshine part is a bit far-fetched for me…after almost 30 years of wedding ummmm bliss…some days are cloudy! LOL
I was thinking more metaphorical, not real sunshine. Goes along with the void. Maybe better words would have been completeness vs emptiness.
okay – fair enough…so what do you think about soul mates? Do you marry that person – or is the person you spend your life with your soul mate? Can you have more than one? Opposite gender?
this book sounds really interesting, maybe I should of tried something different in my marriage for the love has fluttered out of it…love to me is talking and wanting to spend time together and trust and trying to keep it working. But it was only one-sided, me doing all the work so I decided to end it for thats not what love is, even in the bedroom it was my job…and I wasn’t even getting satisfied so I turn to books..have never read your books so gotta try something new and out of my comfort zone! I hope its not an e-book for I don’t have an e-reader or kindle..but would love to read this book!
Thanks for coming by for a read Carol! Best of luck to you in finding your true love.
Good news is that you don’t need an e-reader to read e-books. I know Amazon offers some free software that can make your computer an e-reader. Plus if you download a pdf, the e-book will be at your fingertips.
Hi Carole! Thanks for swinging through. I’m glad you were strong enough to stand up for yourself and get out of a relationship that didn’t give you what you needed. Many of us don’t have the strength. I hope your future holds someone who will be your true partner. RAZOR will not be in print soon. However, most of my other books are and you can venture into uncharted territory all you like. Thank you for visiting.
Hi all! I’m a little late rolling out of bed this morning, thank you flu! Margie and K.B., it’s so nice having you here today!
@J.S. You romantic you! I bet you make your wifey swoon! Thanks so much for stopping by.
@Cornelle No doubt! The thought of such strong authors collaborating is both exciting and inciting. I know I can’t wait to see how their styles interacted. Thanks so much for coming by!
@David, you smooth talker you! Thanks for coming by and spending time with us today. Hey Margie, I think he nailed it, can he get the prize for flattery alone?
@Kelly, Thanks so much for coming by! I have to agree, when Margie sent me the picture of Bryce and said post this too…I wiped the drool off my chin and did as I was told. Yes ma’am!!!
(no, there was no arm twisting involved.)
@Brita, Thanks for swinging in! Blades aren’t for everyone but true love sure is, so it’ll be very interesting to see how this plays out.
@K.B. Hide the cutlery, but why? *bats eyes innocently*
Thanks fer stopping by Kelly and David!
For the record, David, ketchup on eggs is yummy. Nuthin’ like a New York Deli egg sammich. Forgeddebouit.
Hide the cutlery ’round Renee!
Congrats you two. Sounds interesting. Blades aren’t my thing, I get seriously squicky around knives and the like, but I could read this one with one eye closed. LOL
Much luck to you both!
Brita! How cool to see you here. Thanks for stopping by. The title lends itself to a lot of ideas. You’ll have to read it to see if knife play is a predominant theme.
I am really looking forward to reading RAZOR, KB & Margie. And GAWD, where do you get that art? I’m salivating over Bryce and haven’t even had my coffee yet.
Hi Kelly, we hope you’ll enjoy the first installment and come back for the full novel. The photo? Oh that guy. I have him in the basement. bwhwahahahah!
True love?
Renee, KB, and Margie first thing in the morning.
And French vanilla cappuccino. And scrambled eggs. Without ketchup.
Oh! And a good book. One like “Razor.”
LOL David. For what it’s worth, I hate ketchup on my eggs. Blech…and vanilla cappuccino is one of my favorites and so are you. Thanks for sharing the link and for stopping by.
What is this ‘morning’ thing? I do no like it, Sam I am.
I’m here, cup o’ joe in hand. And yes, I did remember to close my robe!
Thanks Renee for allowing us to crash your pad.
RAZOR was-is-as challenge in many ways. Suffice to say, it is a well-honed story, just as the blade itself. I think its going to surprise alot of people.
Hey JS, glad ta see you! Thank you Cornelle for the kind words.
Good morning,K.B., nice jammies. I didn’t think they still sold those furry kind. 0|o *goes back to read – close robe* Gulp.
Hi Renee! Good morning. Thank you for hosting us. Between K.B. and I, we’ll pat down every visitor to make sure they didn’t bring their own razors! *looks around and doesn’t see K.B. anywhere* And for my first lovely victim….
The very idea of two such remarkable talents trading volleys within the confines of one package of erotic promise is more than inviting. To delve into the complexity the razor sharp contrast of love and desisre, only deepens the premise.
Congratulations in advance and kudos to you Renee for your presentation.
Cornelle
Hi Cornelle, you write like you have read us. Have you? The questions we address about true love certainly will cut to the bone, but will the razor? You’ll have to read the book. Thanks for visiting. I look forward to hearing from you.
Nice question! And coming from not ONE, but TWO of my favorite authors, how can I resist?
True love is so elusive, especially in the modern world. It’s born of perfect trust, perfect understanding, and a deep-seated conviction that for the Earth to continue turning, the birds to keep singing, the sun to rise and the stars to remain in the sky, this one person MUST be an abiding and constant presence in your life. There’s so much more, of course, but this is the basis of what true love should be.
Can’t wait to read Razor, y’all! I’ve been very curious to see how this collaboration is going to pan out, and the snippets you’ve given out have my attention! Kudos to you both, and I hope you get LOTS of sales!
Good morning, Js! You are such a romantic at heart. I can’t say I share all of your observations. K.B. may have other ideas. I’m sure he’ll come by once he drags his tired butt out of bed for the day.
You have been very curious and I appreciate your tenacity. It’s hard to believe that he and I have been talking about this book for 9 months and it’s finally starting to hit the market. The full novel is very exciting to say the least. I’ll be at Loves Romances Cafe tonight with the first ever excerpt. Come by!
